T&T Moving and Packing

Terms of Service

Effective September 10, 2026. These are the standard terms for moves booked with HILK Enterprise Ltd Co, doing business as T&T Moving and Packing. The written estimate you receive is the agreement for your specific move; where it says something different from this page, the estimate controls. Everything here is written to be read, not skimmed past — if a line is unclear, call and a person will explain it.

Booking and your deposit

  • A $100 deposit holds your date and crew. It's applied to your final bill.
  • Cancel more than three days before your move date and the deposit is fully refunded. No questions, no forms.
  • Cancel within three days of your move date and the deposit is not refunded. By then a crew and a truck have been held for you that can't be rebooked.
  • Need a different date? Call us and we'll move the booking, subject to availability. Rescheduling never requires another deposit — your deposit moves with your booking, however close to the date you call. Only a cancellation inside three days forfeits it.

A request through this website is a request for a callback, not a booking. Nothing is booked until you've talked to us and placed the deposit.

How local moves are priced and paid

Local moves are billed hourly, by crew size. Your estimate shows the typical range for a move like yours; the final bill is based on the actual time your move takes. The ranges published on this website are typical figures for planning, not quotes — your written estimate is the number that counts.

Local moves are paid in two parts on move day:

  1. The first payment when the truck is loaded and has arrived at your new address.
  2. The second when everything is unloaded and placed.

Our on-time guarantee applies to every move: miss the arrival window we gave you and your move is discounted, as described on that page.

Long-distance moves

A long-distance move is quoted as one flat price, in writing, before move day. That price doesn't change afterward unless the move itself changes — items added, an address changed, or access at either end that we weren't told about — and if it does, we tell you before we do the work, not after. The payment schedule for a long-distance move is stated in your written quote.

What we need from you

  • Accurate information. What's moving, the stairs and elevators at both ends, where a truck can park, and the heavy pieces — the piano, the safe, the treadmill. Your estimate is built on it, and surprises on move day cost time you're paying for.
  • Access. Parking, street or container permits, elevator reservations, and any certificate of insurance or paperwork your building requires. We'll tell you exactly what's needed when we plan the move; arranging it, or telling us what the building needs, is yours.
  • Someone there. You, or an adult you've authorized to make decisions for you, at both ends of the move.
  • Things that ride with you, not on the truck. Documents, medications, jewelry, cash, keys, passports, laptops and their chargers, and anything that would be genuinely painful to replace.
  • Things we can't take. Hazardous materials — paint, propane, fuel, aerosols, chemicals, fireworks — and perishable food. We also don't move grand or baby grand pianos, or single items over 800 pounds; those need a specialty rigger, and we'll say so rather than attempt it.

Your belongings and claims

Every move includes protection for your belongings at the level stated in your written estimate, and you can choose additional protection before move day — ask when you book and we'll walk you through the options and what they cost.

If something is damaged or missing, tell the crew lead before they leave if you can, and call us the same day either way. Note it on the paperwork you sign at delivery. We'll walk you through the claim from there; it's a conversation, not a form you fight with.

Two things aren't covered, and we'd rather say so here than at delivery:

  • Boxes you packed yourself aren't covered for what's inside — unless it's clear we caused the damage, like a box a mover dropped or one that arrives crushed. We didn't see how it was packed, so an intact box with broken contents isn't a claim.
  • Press-board and particle-board furniture isn't covered at all. It isn't built to be moved once it's assembled — the joints and fasteners don't survive it, and no mover can change that. We'll move it carefully, but at your risk, and we'll tell you before we lift it.

Beyond those, if we see a risk before we lift something — a piece that's been repaired before, glass that's already stressed — we'll tell you and let you decide.

Weather

On the coast, June through November means keeping one eye on the forecast. If a named storm makes your move unsafe, we'll reschedule with you rather than load a truck in weather. Your deposit moves with the booking, and there's no cancellation charge for a move we postpone for weather.

Discounts

Active-duty military and veterans of any branch, and seniors, receive 5% off — mention it when you book and it comes off the invoice. Details are on the military and senior moving pages.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, the new version goes here with a new effective date at the top. A move you've already booked is governed by the terms and estimate in place when you booked it.

Governing law

These terms and every move we perform are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia.
