How our long-distance moves work
The biggest difference between us and a van line: your belongings ride on one truck with one crew from your old front door to your new one. National carriers routinely consolidate loads at freight terminals, hand your furniture between crews, and quote you a two-week delivery window. We load, we drive, we unload — usually with delivery the same day or the next day for moves inside the Southeast.
That matters for more than sentiment. Every transfer between trucks and crews is where damage and loss actually happen. Eliminating the transfers eliminates most of the risk.
Where we go
Anywhere in the lower 48 states. The Southeast is home turf — Florida, the Carolinas, Alabama, Tennessee — and popular runs from home include Savannah to Atlanta, Statesboro to Jacksonville, Brunswick to Charlotte, and Columbus to the coast. Moving further? Coast to coast is on the table; call and we'll plan it.
How long-distance pricing works
Unlike local hourly moves, long-distance moves are quoted as a flat price based on the size of the load and the distance. You'll know the full number before move day — fuel, drive time, and labor included. What moves the price: total volume, packing services, stairs or long carries at either end, and how far you're going.
What's included
- Quilt pads and moving blankets on every furniture piece — the same protection standard as our local moves
- Disassembly and reassembly of beds and standard furniture
- An inventory of what's on the truck, checked off at both ends
- Direct communication with the crew during transit — you'll have a phone number, not a call center
Military PCS and government moves

How far ahead to book
Three to four weeks is comfortable for a long-distance move; summer and end-of-month dates go first. Shorter notice is often workable — call and we'll tell you what's actually available rather than making you guess.
