Full packing, partial packing, or just the hard stuff

Full packing: we bring the boxes, paper, and tape, and pack the entire house — usually the day before your move, so move-day morning starts with loading instead of scrambling. Every box is labeled by room and contents.

Partial packing: you pack the clothes and books; we pack what keeps people up at night — the kitchen, the china cabinet, the artwork, the TVs, the mirrors. This is the most popular option because it puts the professional work exactly where breakage actually happens.

Unpacking: at the destination we can unpack, set out kitchen basics, and haul away every empty box and all the paper the same day.

What professional packing actually changes

Most moving damage doesn't happen to furniture — it happens inside boxes packed the night before by an exhausted owner. Dish-pack boxes with cell dividers, wrapped glass stacked on edge instead of flat, right-sized boxes that don't crush under their own weight: it's unglamorous technique, and it's the difference between unpacking your kitchen and photographing it for a claim.

How packing is priced

Hourly, by crew size, plus materials used — you only pay for boxes we actually pack. If you want a not-to-exceed number for a full pack, we'll walk the house first and put it in writing.

Buying boxes only?

If you're packing yourself and just need supplies, see moving supplies — boxes, dish packs, wardrobe boxes, paper, and tape without the labor.

Packing questions

How long does packing a house take?

A crew packs a typical three-bedroom home in one working day. Kitchens are the slow room — if you only outsource one room, make it that one.

Should I pack anything myself no matter what?

Yes — medications, documents, jewelry, cash, and anything irreplaceable ride with you, not on the truck. We'll remind you before packing day.

Do you pack TVs and artwork?

Yes — flat-screens go in TV boxes with foam corners; art and mirrors get picture boxes or custom wrapping depending on size and value.
