What's included in a local move
Every local move comes with the same standard of care, whether it's a studio apartment or a five-bedroom house: a crew that shows up on time in uniform, floor and doorway protection down before the first item moves, and every piece of furniture protected in quilt pads and moving blankets on the truck. Beds get broken down and reassembled. Dressers ride with their drawers in. Moving pads, dollies, and tools are on every truck at no extra charge.
At the destination, we don't drop boxes at the door. Everything goes to the room it belongs in, furniture gets placed and re-placed until it's right, and we don't leave until you've walked the truck and the house.
How local moving is priced
Local moves are billed hourly by crew size — a bigger crew costs more per hour and finishes in fewer hours, and we'll tell you honestly which combination is cheaper for your specific move. What changes the price: how much you own, stairs and elevators, long carries from door to truck, and packing help. What doesn't: materials on the truck, or careful work — we don't rush to protect our schedule at the expense of your furniture.

Small moves and single items
Not every move fills a truck. We handle apartment moves, in-town single-item deliveries — a sofa you bought on Facebook Marketplace, a piano going across town, an armoire from an estate sale — and moves in and out of storage units. If your move is small, say so when you call and we'll quote it as a small move, not a scaled-down house move.
Moves to and from storage
We load and unload storage units every week: downsizing between homes, staging a house for sale, or holding your things between a closing date and a move-in date. Tell us the unit size and what's in it, and we'll bring the right crew and the right truck.
What to expect on move day
- Before we arrive: we confirm the day before, and the crew lead calls when the truck is on the way.
- Walk-through first: the crew lead walks the house with you, notes what's fragile and what stays, and confirms the plan before anything is lifted.
- Protection down: floor runners, door jamb pads, and rail protection before the first item moves.
- The move itself: padded, protected, loaded tight so nothing shifts.
- At your new place: rooms labeled, furniture placed, beds rebuilt, a final walk-through with you before we pull away.
What we don't do
Straight answers save everyone time: we don't transport people or pets, hazardous materials (propane tanks, gasoline, paint thinners), or plants on long hauls. Upright and digital pianos are routine; we don't move grand or baby grand pianos, or any single item over 800 lbs.
